# CGDisplayIsActive(_:)

Returns a Boolean value indicating whether a display is active.

## Declaration

```swift
func CGDisplayIsActive(_ display: CGDirectDisplayID) -> boolean_t
```

## Parameters

- `display`: The identifier of the display to be accessed.

## Return Value

Return Value If true, the specified display is active; otherwise, false.

## Discussion

Discussion An active display is connected, awake, and available for drawing. In a hardware mirroring set, only the primary display is active.
