# setObject(const OSMetaClassBase *)

Appends an object onto the end of the array, increasing storage if necessary.

## Declaration

```occ
virtual bool setObject(
 const OSMetaClassBase *anObject); 
```

## Parameters

- `anObject`: The object to add to the OSArray instance.

## Return Value

Return Value true if the addition of anObject was successful, false if not.

## Overview

Overview The array adds storage to accomodate the new object, if necessary. If successfully added, the object is retained.
