# macOS Tahoe 26.6 Release Notes

## Overview

Overview The macOS 26.6 SDK provides support to develop apps for Mac computers running macOS Tahoe 26.6. The SDK comes bundled with Xcode 26.6, available from the Mac App Store. CoreStorage Deprecations Encrypted HFS+ (CoreStorage) is deprecated and will not be supported in macOS 28. If you use Encrypted HFS+ backups on external drives, begin backing up to encrypted APFS-formatted external drives instead.
